Adding video to Instant Site

By adding video to your Instant Site, you can effectively showcase the features and benefits of your product, enabling customers to make informed and well-considered choices. Adding  instructional videos will also be helpful to first time users of your products.

You can seamlessly integrate a video into your Instant site and categories using video embedded code or a GIF.

You can add a GIF to any Instant Site block that has an image in its template. Note that even if a GIF is wider than the template picture, it will still be the same size as this picture, as this is governed by the rules of the template.

Adding Videos to your Instant site

To add videos to sections of your Instant Site home page design requires a more customized approach. You will need to use JavaScript to embed a video in place of an existing template element. You can do it yourself if you have the necessary technical skills or hire a developer to implement this for you.

In the below sections, we will explain how you can add videos or GIFs to product category pages of your storefront.

Adding video elements to your category pages:

You can add videos or GIFs to the top of your store’s category pages. These could be promotional videos, or content you’ve created that is relevant to the product category.

To add a GIF to your product category pages:

1. Go to your Netcash Control Panel.

2. Click Catalog.

3. Click Categories.

4. Click on the category you would like to add your GIF to.

5. Click the insert Image icon in the editor menu and add the Gif.

To add video to your category pages, follow the below steps:

1. Go to your Netcash Control Panel.

2. Click Catalog.

3. Click Categories.

4. Click on the category you would like to add your video to

5. Click the insert video icon in the editor menu, (typically represented by a recognizable video symbol).

At this point, you have two options to add a video:

1. a) Video Embed Code:
If you have a specific video embed code, insert it in the designated field. The embed code is usually provided by the video hosting platform (e.g., YouTube or Vimeo) and allows you to directly embed the video within your text.

b) External Link:
Alternatively, you can include an external link to the video. Simply paste the URL of the video from the desired platform (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo) into the provided field.

Once you’ve added your video via embed code or external link, click Save to save your changes. You can now preview your new video element on your storefront category page(s).

Adding videos to a cover section

  2. Log in to your Netcash Shop control panel and go to Website. Then, click Edit Site to go to the site editor.

  3. Click Add Section, then click Videos and select from the two options.

  4. Edit the title, description, and button settings as needed.

  5. Click Add Video and paste the link to the video that you copied from the first step.

  6. Click Publish.

And that’s it! The video should now appear on a section of your Instant Site, and you can do this on any page of your site.
