Creating product descriptions with AI

In a click, the AI analyzes key product details – including first product photo, name, category (as well as marketplace category), subtitles, visible attributes, weight and dimensions, your store name – to craft compelling copy that attracts customers.

You can further refine the description by specifying features and benefits you want to highlight in the product description, and even guide the AI on a specific tone and style.

To generate a product description with AI:

  1. From your Netcash Control Panel, go to Catalog → Products.
  2. Open an existing product (or create a new product).
  3. Click the AI icon above the product description field and choose Generate Description with AI:
  4. Enter product features and benefits that you want to highlight.
  5. Click Special instructions to add any specific requirements, such as defining your target audience or excluding the product category from the description.
  6. Click Generate.
  7. To refine the result, make changes to features, benefits, or instructions, then click Regenerate.
  8. Click Apply when you are satisfied with the description or click Discard if you don’t want to use the changes.
  9. Click Save.

Formatting product descriptions with AI

You can use the built-in AI tool to format product descriptions for better readability. The AI automatically makes meaningful parts of the text bold and adds paragraphs and bullet points.

To format a product description with AI:

  1. From your Netcash Control Panel, go to Catalog → Products.
  2. Open an existing product (or create a new product).
  3. Make sure the Description field contains the text you want to format.
  4. Click the AI icon above the product description field and choose Format Description with AI:
  5. Enter special instructions, for example,”short paragraphs”.
  6. Click Format Description.
  7. To refine the result, add special requirements, then click Reformat Description.
  8. Click Apply when you are satisfied with the description.or click Discard if you don’t want to use the changes.
  9. Click Save.

For users on the Venture or Business plans, external third-party AI tools can be found in the app market, at an additional cost (billed externally).

In your App store, you can find tools such as MercuryAI OR ChatGPT AI Content Generator, or ContentGenie AI.
